Potato And Beef Fritter
Ingredients
- 1 Pound Potatoes
- 3 Large Shallots -- thinly sliced
- 2 Cloves Garlic -- finely chopped
- 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
- Salt And Pepper -- to taste
- 1/4 Pound Ground Beef
- 2 Large Eggs -- beaten
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1/4 Cup Oil
- Boil potatoes until soft, let cool, peel and put through a ricer. Set aside.
- In food processor, blend shallots, garlic, nutmeg, salt and pepper to form a paste.
- Mix the paste in a bowl with the beef, one half of the eggs, potatoes and flour.
- Divide mixture into 6 pieces and shape into ovals.
- Dip each oval into the remaining egg and fry in oil until brown on all sides about 5 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve.
