Potato And Beef Fritter

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Potatoes
  • 3 Large Shallots -- thinly sliced
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- finely chopped
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • Salt And Pepper -- to taste
  • 1/4 Pound Ground Beef
  • 2 Large Eggs -- beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
Directions
  1. Boil potatoes until soft, let cool, peel and put through a ricer. Set aside.
  2. In food processor, blend shallots, garlic, nutmeg, salt and pepper to form a paste.
  3. Mix the paste in a bowl with the beef, one half of the eggs, potatoes and flour.
  4. Divide mixture into 6 pieces and shape into ovals.
  5. Dip each oval into the remaining egg and fry in oil until brown on all sides about 5 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve.
